Tom Santarsiero first heard the rhythmic style of southern Appalachian music while learning to build log cabins in West Virginia. He returned every year to learn more about traditional music and dance.

Originally from Western NY, Tom later attended music and dance festivals in New York State where he was introduced to New England style music.

Influenced by the music of both regions, he has developed an eclectic musical approach to playing the mandolin, banjo, and guitar.

Tom is also a member of River Bend, and plays with Tunescape
